Once again the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is upon us and got off to a roaring start. This year’s tournament found a crowd ready to play and make it to the money. The event continues its tradition at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau.
The number of players who have turned out for this event has pushed the prize pool up to $9.5 million. The top 144 players will cash with the first place finishers taking home a hefty $1.86 million. Some big names have turned out for this event including Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey and Phil Hellmuth. There are also a number of celebrity players including Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame and Olympian Michael Phelps.
There have been 987 entries into this tournament with only half of those progressing to day two of the event. This saw many go home disappointed and many will follow as the tournament continues and the push to the money draws closer.
This is the 10th anniversary of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure tournament and winning this event is something many of Team PokerStars pro players would love to bring home.
Stay tuned for more updates.
